The coronavirus has upended all aspects of education, even as we confront the urgent need to live up to our principles regarding equitable treatment of all students. The 2020-21 academic year will be unlike any other, requiring rapid adaptation to unprecedented and unpredictable circumstances. We believe it is especially important in these challenging times to understand the student experience and to support educators as they work to craft effective experiences.
In response to our changed circumstances, NSSE will offer a special fall survey at no charge (NSSE 2021 registration not required). The short online survey “NSSE Pulse” includes questions from NSSE Engagement Indicators most critical to persistence and quality learning as well as NSSE questions assessing students’ sense of belonging. Results will be delivered promptly, affording early diagnosis of strengths and areas of concern.
More details about NSSE Pulse are available on the main Pulse page. Institutions interested in the free fall survey may register September 16 through October 12 (survey administration is October 5 - November 23).
